There is nothing bigger than Kony right now.

The goal was to make Joseph Kony famous, and they’ve achieved it in record time.

On 5th March 2012, Invisible Children officially launched the social campaign for Kony 2012. The video was released to the internet and within 6 days, it has reached 100 million views to become the most viral video of ALL TIME.

Based on a research published by Visible Measures, Kony was the fastest video to reach 100 million views, the closest was Susan Boyle’s Britain’s Got Talent which achieved the same feat is nine days. This leaves Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Rebecca Black in the dust.

Kony 2012 is a 30-minute documentary about Ugandan rebel leader Joseph Kony, created by non-profit group Invisible Children, Inc. The film’s purpose is to promote the charity’s ‘Stop Kony’ movement to make indicted Ugandan war criminal Joseph Kony internationally known in order to arrest him in 2012. [Wikipedia]  The campaign has received criticism as well, question raised over the integrity of the fundraising effort and others targeted the organization’s expenses.

Charity is always good, just make sure you do some background research on the organization and its effort.

Here’s the video if you have not already watched it.
